Is dentistry even worth it?

5 years out of school, and I am having second thoughts.  I get home....I am exhausted.  So much stress.  Patients are horrible.  I don't know.   I am beginning to think that something else may be easier on me.  I have no kids and I am just always worried about cases and the staff and such.  On top of it all we don't even get paid all that much.

I understand that being a dentist comes with its fair share of challenges, and can feel overwhelming. However, before making any decisions, I'd like to share a few thoughts that might help you see things from a different perspective.

Dentistry is one of the most impactful professions out there. Every day, you have the opportunity to improve people's lives, alleviate pain, and boost their confidence.

Take some time to reflect on why you chose dentistry in the first place. What were your initial motivations and passions? Reconnecting with those reasons can reignite the drive and satisfaction you once felt.  also was there something that stole your love for it?

Wishing you all the best,
