Finally bit the bullet and got my Grand Cherokee sorted
Quote from Rexford Warman on September 1, 2026, 9:55 amThought I'd pop back on here and share a quick update because I know a few of you were asking about where I ended up taking my 2017 Grand Cherokee after that nightmare with the transmission shudder. So after all the back and forth and asking around, I decided to check out a place I found through a forum thread and honestly I'm pretty relieved with how it all turned out. The guys there actually took the time to properly road test it and run the diagnostics rather than just guessing like the last place did. They managed to pin down the issue to a faulty valve body which apparently is pretty common on these models and got it sorted without trying to upsell me on a bunch of unnecessary work. If anyone else is dealing with similar issues, I came across https://exoticautoservices.ae/jeep/jeep-repair-abu-dhabi/ when I was doing my research and that's what led me to give them a shot. Not saying it's the only option out there but they definitely knew their stuff when it came to the ZF transmission and the whole experience was way less painful than I expected. Car's been driving smooth as butter for the past couple of weeks now so I'm a happy camper. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else is in the same boat I was in.
