Is it weird to book an inspection before even test driving a used Durango?
I know this might sound backwards to some people but I actually want to get a used Durango inspected before I even bother with a test drive. The last two cars I looked at seemed fine on the road and then my mechanic found stuff that made me walk away, so now I'd rather pay for a proper check first and save myself the wasted trips. The seller of the Durango I'm looking at thinks I'm being dramatic and keeps saying I can just bring any mechanic with me, but I don't know any mechanic who actually knows these SUVs properly. Has anyone else booked an inspection before a test drive? Did the seller give you a hard time about it? I'm in Dubai if that matters and the car is in Sharjah, so I'm also trying to figure out if they'll travel that far.
