Quattroporte feeling crashy - need a proper Maserati suspension place
I've had my 2016 Quattroporte for a couple of years now and up until recently it's been an absolute dream to drive, but over the past few weeks I've noticed the ride quality deteriorating to the point where it's actually starting to annoy me. Every little bump in the road seems to transmit straight through to the cabin and it's lost that lovely plushness that made me fall in love with the car in the first place. I've had a quick look underneath and I can't see any obvious leaks from the dampers, but I'm wondering if maybe the bushes are starting to wear out or perhaps the active dampers are just getting tired after 80,000 km of driving on Dubai's less than perfect roads. The thing is I'm a bit wary about taking it to just any workshop because Maseratis have their own specific suspension setups and I've heard horror stories about places that don't really understand the Skyhook system and end up messing up the calibration. I've been told there's some Certified Maserati suspension maintenance in Dubai that supposedly knows these cars inside out, but I'm struggling to find any proper reviews or feedback from actual Quattroporte or Ghibli owners who've used them. Has anyone here had suspension work done on their Maserati somewhere that actually knows what they're doing with the Skyhook system? I'm particularly keen to find somewhere that can properly diagnose whether it's the dampers, the bushes, or something else entirely before I start spending money on parts that might not even be the problem. Any recommendations would be really appreciated because this is starting to do my head in.
